After I returned from holiday way back in December, I was surprised and delighted to discover that, despite neglecting my little blog for two weeks, I had been nominated for the coveted Liebster Award. A Liebster Award celebrates bloggers with less than 200 followers, of which I can safely say I am well under. Loosely translated, liebsters are dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. Whew! Brenna from Awake at Five bestowed the honor upon me with the caveat that I answer 11 probing questions about myself and also share 11 random things about myself. I then nominate up to 11 deserving new bloggers and let them know of the honor via a comment on one of their posts.
Well, since that time I have been blessed with the nomination by Sara of 365 Days With Sara Style, and also by Val of late blooming sparkle. Thank you Brenna, Sara, and Val. I had started writing this post back in 2012, but...no excuses. Anyways, with Val's nomination a few days ago, I told myself to just get 'er done girl. I am answering 8 questions from each nominator. I thought 33 questions would be like reading a novel...a boring novel.
Warning: You may need to allot five or 10 minutes to read this post in it's entirety,
but remember it took much, much longer for me to write. Just sayin'.

but remember it took much, much longer for me to write. Just sayin'.
- If you could spend a day with any person, living or deceased, who would it be? My husband.
- Who or what inspires you the most? Nature.
- Comfort over fashion or fashion over comfort? I am a firm believer that you can be fashionable and comfortable at the same time. Now I'll get off my soapbox and admit that I sometimes I wear jammies in the evening for comfort.
- Just you and your love on a chilly evening, order dinner in or go out? 9 times out of 10, I say dinner in. Mmmm, maybe tonight...
- Best vacation you ever went on? Maui. It seems each holiday gets better than the last. Either that or my memory is slipping.
- If you could have any car, without paying a dime, what would you choose? BMW, maybe. The issue isn't so much the car, as having a parking space, LOL.
- Be honest, how long could you go without electronics? Minutes, days, weeks?? I can safely say that I could go weeks without electronics.
- What brought you into this wonderful world of blogging? A dare to myself to try something, anything, new, that was out of my comfort zone.
Sara's 8 Questions for Me:
- What is your favorite movie of all time? White Christmas is right up there.
- Do you watch sports, play sports or are you not really interested in sports? I love watching Olympic events. I enjoy watching live sporting events...hockey, soccer.
- Who is the one famous living person you would love to have dinner with? Oh, gosh one person? Oprah would be cool, and she could tell me about all the other famous people I want to have dinner with, 'cause I'm sure she's met them all.
- What boy band was your favorite as a teenager? Honestly, didn't have a boy band crush as a teenager...I did major crush on the Monkees as a kid though.
- Favorite Jane Austen novel? You know what, I haven't read a single Jane Austen novel. Is that surprising? I did love the film, Sense and Sensibility. Does that redeem me even slightly?
- Would you rather bake a dessert or make a meal? Um, I would say meal.
- What is your favorite scent of candle? Natural beeswax.
- Do you prefer watching sitcoms, dramas or reality TV? Honestly...reality, but I do love some sitcoms like Friends and Modern Family, and I adore Downton Abbey.
Val's 8 Questions for Me:
- Are you basically an optimist or a pessimist? Optimist
- What is your favorite flower, or what flower is most like you? Sunflower
- Do you prefer beach or mountains? Beach
- What three things do you always have in your refrigerator? Mayonnaise, because everything is better with mayonnaise, {Does something growing count? Thought not...}, Milk for the mister, and if the mister has his way...beer.
- What is your best creative talent or outlet? Best? Well, I love to paint, don't know if it's my best creative talent, but visual arts are my thing.
- What three words would you use to describe yourself? {Gak} Airy, Creative, Warm.
- What person, living or dead, would you most like to have a conversation with? Again, one person? Really? I'll go with Abraham, as in Esther Hicks' Abraham.
- How did you first discover blogging? Oooh, I can't exactly remember; I think it was an accident...I was probably googling something to do with decorating and stumbled upon the never ending hole that is blogland.
Now, I get to announce up to 11 worthy bloggers to take part, but first, my questions.
